No. 13 HookC Has Nine-Game Win Streak Snapped

STORRS, Conn. - The No. 13 UConn baseball team (40-9) had its nine-game winning streak snapped with a 9-4 loss to Northeastern on Tuesday night at Elliot Ballpark.
UConn jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first three innings with an RBI single from Ben Huber and three sacrifice flies from Zach Bushling, Bryan Padilla and T.C. Simmons.
Cole Chudoba made the start for UConn and fired 3.0 shutout innings, allowed one hit and struck out three.Â
Northeastern responded in the fourth with a six-run frame that featured a two-out grand slam by Justin Bosland to make it 6-4.
UConn only managed two hits the rest of the way and could not mount a comeback.
Next up, the Huskies host a three-game series against Xavier beginning on Friday, May 13 at 7:02 p.m.
