No. 13 HookC Square Off Against Xavier at Elliot

STORRS, Conn. - The No. 13 UConn baseball team (40-9, 14-1 BIG EAST) closes out the home schedule with a crucial series against Xavier (26-23, 9-6 BIG EAST) beginning on Friday, May 13 at 7:02 p.m. on FS1.
The Huskies and Musketeers battled seven times last season including three games in the BIG EAST Championship. The Huskies won four of those meetings including capturing the BIG EAST Tournament Championship. Xavier has been the stiffest test for UConn since returning to the BIG EAST. UConn is 30-6 the past two seasons in the conference with three of those losses coming to the Musketeers.
Xavier sits in third place in the league with a 9-6 record and have played a stiff schedule that has the Musketeers at 69Â in the RPI entering the weekend.They have won five in a row and come off a blowout off Michigan on Tuesday night.
UConn looks to rebound from a Tuesday night loss to Northeastern that snapped the Huskies nine-game win streak. The Huskies have secured a spot in the BIG EAST Championship and lead the BIG EAST Conference by four games with six to play.
The weekend features free ice cream in mini UConn baseball helmets to the first 400 fans that arrive to the ballpark on Friday. Saturday will be a dedication to the Elliot family for their contributions and support to get Elliot Ballpark constructed.
Sunday will be Senior Day where 10 Huskies will be honored at 11:45 a.m. The senior class includes Matt Donlan, T.C. Simmons, Austin Peterson, Kevin Ferrer, Cole Chudoba, Enzo Stefanoni, Casey Dana, Kenny Campbell, Devin Kirby and Justin Willis.
