WSOC Heads to Northeastern

BROOKLINE, Mass. - The UConn women's soccer team (2-1-1) heads out this weekend to Northeastern to play the Huskies on Sunday, September 4 at 1 p.m. on FloSports.Â
The Huskies are coming off a 5-0 victory against UMass Lowell, a game that featured two goals from freshman Maddie Carroll.Â
Carroll leads the team with three goals and her two-goal performance last weekend earned her BIG EAST Freshman of the Week honors.Â
Abbey Jones leads the Huskies with seven points on the year (two goals, three assists) and had a pair of her helpers against the River Hawks on Sunday.
The Huskies have played exceptionally well on Sunday's this season, outscoring opponents 11-0 in the two matches they have played.
The Huskies are the only BIG EAST team to rank Top-20 nationally in total goals (18th, 12) and scoring offense (20th, 3.00 goals per game).
In four matches the Huskies have had seven goal scorers and nine players that have recorded at least a point.Â
UConn beat Northeastern 2-0 in their last meeting on February 28, 2021 in Storrs.Â
