Huskies Prep For Big East Road Trip

STORRS, Conn. - Â The University of Connecticut women's volleyball team gears up for a weekend road trip as they will face Marquette, Friday September 30, and DePaul, Saturday October 1.
The Huskies are coming off a weekend in which they fell to both St. Johns and Seton Hall in five sets. UConn is led by senior Caylee Parker who has 150 total kills and is averaging three kills per set. In addition, the Huskies are also led by senior Jasmine Davis who has 143 total kills, and senior Madi Whitmire who has 464 total assists.
Scouting Marquette
Huskies will open the weekend facing off against Big East Rival Marquette. Marquette is posting an 11-1 overall record with their only loss being against no. 6 Wisconsin. The Golden Eagles are coming off a 2-0 weekend in which they beat Butler University and DePaul University while only dropping one set in seven matches played. Marquette is led by Aubrey Hamilton who has 142 total kills, and Jenna Reitsma who has 115 total kills.
The Huskies are 3-6 vs. The Golden Eagles all time with their last matchup being a 0-3 loss to Marquette in the Big East Championship. UConn vs. Marquette
Scouting DePaul
Following the matchup vs. Marquette, the Huskies will travel to Chicago, Illinois to take on the DePaul Blue Demons. The Blue Demons enter the matchup vs. the Huskies posting a 4-10 overall record and an 0-2 record in conference play. DePaul is coming off an 0-2 weekend with loses coming against no.19 Marquette and Butler. The Blue Demons are led by Jill Pressly who has 193 total kills, and Maggie Jones who has 313 total assists.
UConn is 9-0 all time vs. DePaul with their last matchup being a 3-0 victory on October 24, 2021. UConn vs. DePaul is set to begin at 7:00pm and can be streamed on FloSports.
