DURHAM, NH. – The UConn Huskies fell to the New Hampshire Wildcats Friday night by a final of 4-1. New Hampshire sunk two empty net goals late in the third period to seal the win over the Huskies.

New Hampshire opened the scoring early in the first period as they were awarded a penalty shot following an interference call on defenseman Roman Kinal. Chase Stevenson sunk the shot for the wildcats to give them the lead. New Hampshire increased their lead late in the second period as the wildcats collected a bouncing puck following a Logan Terness save and scored to give them the 2-0 lead heading into the period break.

Heading into the second period, the Huskies looked to cut into the wildcats lead. Sophomore Logan Terness made 11 saves in the period holding New Hampshire to two goals. Midway through the second period, the Huskies found the back of the net when Justin Pearson found Hudson Schandor for the goal. The Huskies were unable to find the equalizing goal in the second period as New Hampshire entered the period break holding a 2-1 lead.
