No. 15 HookC Loses To Northeastern, 12-3

STORRS, Conn. - The No. 15 UConn baseball team (26-10) lost to Northeastern, 12-3, on Tuesday afternoon at Elliot Ballpark.
The nine-run defeat was the largest margin of victory for an opponent in the three-year history of Elliot Ballpark.
Northeastern jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the second before Matt Garbowski got the Huskies on the board with his first home run of the year, a two-run shot.
Garbowski reached all four times at the plate while freshman Ryan Daniels had three of the Huskies six hits.
Right-hander Joe Carrea pitched a career-high 2.2 innings out of the pen and registered a career-high four strikeouts.
Mitchell Pascarella made his collegiate debut in 1.0 inning and allowed no hits, no runs and struck out a pair.
Next up, the Huskies head to Brighton to take on No. 20 Boston College on Wednesday, April 19 at 5:30 p.m. on ACC Network Extra.
