BRIGHTON, Mass. - The No. 15 UConn baseball team (27-10) put together a complete performance against No. 20 Boston College with a 12-1 triumph in seven innings due to a run-rule on Wednesday night at the Harrington Athletics Village.

The UConn offense scored in six consecutive innings to produce its 14th double-digit run scoring game of the season. Luke Broadhurst led the offense with a two-hit night that featured four RBIs including a two-run homer in seventh to cap the scoring.

David Smith, Ben Huber and Bryan Padilla also recorded multi-RBI games with Huber and Smith registering run-scoring doubles and Padilla hitting his fifth home run of the season.

Jake Studley added an RBI double in the contest that extended his hit streak to 17 games.

The UConn pitching shined on Wednesday with Garrett Coe getting the starting nod and pitched 2.2 innings of work with just one run allowed.

Michael Quigley came out of the pen and with a 2-1 lead in the third, got out of a bases loaed, two-out jam by getting Nick Wang to fly out to center.

Quickly pitched a scoreless fourth inning and handed the ball to RHP Jack Sullivan. In his first game out of the pen in 2023, the Carmel, N.Y. native fired a 1-2-3 frame.

Brady Afthim and Zach Fogell followed with scoreless innings of work to close out the Huskies first Top-25 victory of 2023.

Next up, the Huskies face Georgetown in the first BIG EAST home series of the year at Elliot Ballpark.

Ben Huber leads the Huskies with 23 two-out RBIs. UConn as a team has 118 two-out RBIs this season.
Zach Fogell has not allowed an earned run in 12 of his last 13 appearances.
Michael Quigley earned his first career victory with 1.1 shutout innings out of the pen.
