STORRS, Conn. - The UConn women's soccer team (3-2-1) conclude the non-conference portion of its season with a home matchup against Buffalo (3-1-2) on Saturday, September 16 at 7 p.m. The game can be video streamed for free on UConn+.
The Huskies are coming off a 1-0 loss at Yale that ended a three-match unbeaten streak while the Bulls are riding a five-match unbeaten streak since their season opening loss at No. 14 Pittsburgh.Â
Chioma Okafor continues to pace the Huskies with three goals on the campaign and is followed by seven other Huskies that have tallied a goal.Â
Katie Krohn leads Buffalo with four goals and nine points on the season. Leah Wengender is a Hermann Trophy watch list member, given to the best player in women's collegiate soccer, and has added a pair of goals this season.
Wengender was a part of a Bulls team that came to Storrs in 2021 and beat the Huskies, 2-0. That meeting is the lone game in the series history between the two programs.Â
UConn will open BIG EAST play next weekend with a pair of home games against Creighton (Sept. 21) and St. John's (Sept. 24).Â
