» The UConn Huskies will welcome the No.7 Maine Black Bears to Hartford Connecticut and the XL Center for the first home game of 2024.
» The Huskies opened the second half of the season with a 4-2 victory over Harvard on where the Jake's helped carry UConn to victory on New Years Eve as freshman Jake Richard, and sophomore Jake Black and Jake Percival combined for 3 goals followed by a 3-3 tie and shootout win over No.13 Massachusetts
 » Huskies in the NHL: Yan Kuznetsov became the 6th Husky to reach the pros, having most recently been called up by the Calgary Flames. Kuznetsov joins Todd Krygier, Cole Schneider, Max Letunov, Adam Huska, and Tage Thompson as former Huskies to make it to the league.
» UConn welcomed back one of their top scorers in Matthew Wood as Team Canada was knocked out of play by Czechia at the World Juniors. Wood finished the tournament with two goals and two assists in 5 games.
» Wood is the 6th Husky under Head Coach Mike Cavanaugh to play in the prestigious tournament, and the first to play for Team Canada.
» Sophomore Jake Percival has found his stride on the offensive end after registering a goal in the last 4 games, and joining Chase Bradley and Matthew Wood for the team lead with 7 total goals.
 » Fellow Sophomore Tom Messineo has made an impact on the offensive side of the ice as the defenseman has dished out 4 total assists over the last two games.
» The last time UConn and Maine faced off, Huskies fell to the Black Bears by a final of 7-3 but Jake Percival scored 2 goals, kickstarting his offensive hot streak.
» While captain Hudson Schandor has not consistently found the back of the net, the senior has made an impact in other areas. Schandor currently leads the team with 10 assists and sits second in total points with 12, and has won 53% of his faceoffs.
