Ā» The Huskies are back for their third game in 5 days as they welcome Stonehill to
PeoplesBank Arena for a Tuesday night non-conference matchup.
Ā» The Huskies are coming off a 1-1 weekend vs. the University of New Hampshire. The
Huskies took game one of the weekend series by a final of 4-1, before dropping game
two after UNH scored two goals in the third period to secure the 4-3 victory.
Ā» Penalty Kill: Huskies penalty kill continues to operate at a high success, killing 80% of
power plays faced. After leading the country last year in short-handed goals, the Hus-
kies were able to score their first one of the season vs. New Hampshire.
Ā» Despite the matchup vs. Stonehill being the first matchup between the two teams, there
are still familiar faces behind the bench. Head Coach David Berard was most recently at
Providence College, while alum Brian Rigali is an assistant coach on Berard's staff.
Ā» Ethan Gardula has found his stride of late, leading the team with 6 goals and 3 assists
for 9 total points. Joining Gardula with nine points for the Huskies are captain Tabor
Heaslip (4g-5a), Alexandre Blais (3g-6a), and Mike Murtagh (3g-6a).
Ā» Well Rounded: 19 Huskies have registered a point this season. Of the 19, 10 are either
freshman or sophomores.
Ā» Goaltender Tyler Muszelik has solidified himself as the number one option for the Huskies. Muszelik is ranked third amongst Hockey East Goaltenders this season with a 2.23
GAA and a .929 Save %.
Ā» Huskies in the NHL: Marc Gatcomb has become the 9th Husky to reach the pros, having most recently been called up by the New York Islanders. Gatcomb joins, Chase
Bradley, Ruslan Iskhakov, Yan Kuznetsov, Todd Krygier, Cole Schneider, Max Letunov,
Adam Huska, and Tage Thompson as former Huskies to make it to the league.
