Track & Field to Compete in Boston & New Haven This Weekend

STORRS-Â Â In the last weekend of meet competition before the BIG EAST Indoor Championships in Chicago, UConn track & field will compete in the BU David Hemery Valentine Invitational in Boston on Friday and Saturday, and the Yale Giegengack Invitational on Saturday in New Haven.
In this week's USTFCCCA regional TFRI rankings, both UConn teams have earned top-2 spots in the rankings. Men's indoor leads the charge in the top spot, with the women's squad second in the region, only trailing Harvard in the region. Both teams are in the driver's seat in the conference TFRI rankings, with the conference championships in Chicago just two weeks away.Â
The Huskies have had consistency from top- 10 event squads across the board. Men's triple jump is ranked #2, men's heptathlon comes in at #3, and men's long jump at #7. The women's pentathlon has also been a top squad, ranked #8.
