STORRS, Conn. – The UConn men's soccer team (6-0-3) is set to host No. 17 Bryant Bulldogs (7-0-1) on Tuesday, September 23 at Joseph J. Morrone Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6:00pm and will be available to stream on UConn+ and on the WWAX in Connecticut. TICKETS
UConn is unbeaten through their first nine matches this season. The Huskies are coming off a 3-1 win in the BIG EAST opener at No. 10 Akron. The UConn attack has been firing on all cylinders of late, tallying three goals in three out of their last four matches. UConn leads the BIG EAST in goals this season with 18. The Huskies are averaging 2.00 goals per game, ranking 33rd in all of Division I.
UConn's goalkeeper Kyle Durham has had a strong start to his UConn career, recording four clean sheets this season. Durham currently leads the BIG EAST in saves (41), saves per game (4.56), and save percentage (0.891).
A Look at Bryant
The Bryant Bulldogs are off to an unbeaten start through their first eight matches of their season. The Bulldogs are coming off a 3-0 win at Stonehill on Saturday. Bryant is coached by Ruben Resendes entering his third season. The Bulldogs had three returnees named to the America East Preseason All-Conference Team in Marc Pitarch Bayot, Santiago Blasco Gomez, and Tibo Jacobs. Byrant was selected to finish in third place in the America East Preseason Coaches' Poll.
Series History
The last time these two programs met was a season ago, as the Huskies and Bulldogs settled for a 0-0 draw at Morrone Stadium. UConn leads the all-time series 1-0-1, with the lone win in the series coming in the 2021season opener, 3-0.
