» The Huskies will wrap up their non-conference slate with a chance for trophy on the
line as they compete in CT Ice beginning Jan.23. The Huskies will open the tournament with a matchup vs. the host Yale with puck drop at 7:30pm.
» UConn is coming off a weekend split vs. Vermont which featured 6 goals scored by the
Huskies.
» The top line of Joey Muldowney, Ryan Tattle, and Jake Richard has found their offensive stride of late with the trio either scoring or assisting on 4 of the 6 goals over the
weekend.
» Huskies return to the CT Ice Tournament as the reigning champs. UConn took down
Quinnipiac in game one of the tournament by a final of 2-1 followed by a 1-0 win over
Sacred Heart to secure their first CT Ice Championship.
» Point Streaks: Jake Richard has 10 points in his last 8 games, Joey Muldowney is riding
an 8-game point streak, Ryan Tattle has registered a point in 8 of the last 10 games.
» Hobey Baker Nominee: Jake Richard, Joey Muldowney and Tyler Muszelik have been
named Hobey Baker Nominees. Richard currently has 6 goals and 13 assists for 19
points while Muldowney has 11 goals and 8 assists for 19 points.
» Mike Richter Watchlist and Hobey Baker Candidate: Senior Goaltender Tyler Muszelik has been named to the Mike Richter Award Watchlist and a Hobey Baker Nominee.
Muszelik is 12-5-3 this season with a .930 Save % and 2.18 GAA.
» Hockey Humanitarian: Over the holiday break, senior Ryan Tattle hosted his 5th annual
Score for Cancer game. Following the completion of the game Sat. Dec. 20, Tattle has
raised over $180,000 for Cancer Research.
» Huskies in the NHL: Marc Gatcomb has become the 9th Husky to reach the pros, having most recently been called up by the New York Islanders. Gatcomb joins, Chase
Bradley, Ruslan Iskhakov, Yan Kuznetsov, Todd Krygier, Cole Schneider, Max Letunov,
Adam Huska, and Tage Thompson as former Huskies to make it to the league.
