» The Huskies are back to conference action this weekend as they are set to kick off a
home and home series with UMass Lowell. The Huskies will welcome UMass Lowell
to Hartford Friday, before traveling to Lowell Saturday Jan. 10.
» The Huskies are coming off a sweep of LIU to kick off the second half of the season.
» The Huskies are 5-1 in their last 6 Hockey East games, most recently sweeping Merrimack to end the first half.
» Huskies top of the standings. UConn currently sits in 1st place in Hockey East with 22
points, followed by Boston College and Boston University.
» Kaden Shahan has found his offensive stride of late. The Sophomore has registered a
point in 6 of the last 8 games and currently leads the Huskies with 15 points (5g, 10a)
» Kaden Shahan is one of 9 players to register double digit points, followed by Ryan
Tattle and Alexandre Blais with 13 points, 4 players with 12 and rounding out the group
with 11 points are Ethan Gardula and Mike Murtagh with 11 points.
» Hockey Humanitarian: Over the holiday break, senior Ryan Tattle hosted his 5th annual
Score for Cancer game. Following the completion of the game Sat. Dec. 20, Tattle has
raised over $180,000 for Cancer Research.
» Welcoming another member to the Ice Bus: Over the break, the Huskies announced
the signing of Carter Sproule from the Watertown Shamrocks (NAHL). The incoming
freshman led his team with 10 goals and 20 assists for 30 total points. Sproule finished
his career with the Shamrocks with 22 goals and 48 assists.
» Well Rounded: 19 Huskies have registered a point this season. Of the 19, 10 are either
freshman or sophomores.
» Huskies in the NHL: Marc Gatcomb has become the 9th Husky to reach the pros, having most recently been called up by the New York Islanders. Gatcomb joins, Chase
Bradley, Ruslan Iskhakov, Yan Kuznetsov, Todd Krygier, Cole Schneider, Max Letunov,
Adam Huska, and Tage Thompson as former Huskies to make it to the league.
