FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The UConn softball team lost to No. 9 Arkansas, 10-2 on Saturday afternoon at Bogle Park.

Redshirt-junior Sydnee Koosh made her sixth start of the season for the Huskies in game two of the series. Koosh went 5.1 innings in the circle, giving up nine runs on ten hits, adding four strikeouts.

Arkansas jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the bottom of the 1^st inning.

Senior outfielder Kaitlyn Kibling got the Huskies on the board in the top of the 4^th inning with her third home run of the season, a solo shot to right center field, making it 4-1.

The Razorbacks got a run back in the bottom half of the 4^th inning, extending their lead to 5-1.

In the top of the 6^th inning, senior infielder Savannah Ring chipped away at the deficit with a two-out RBI single, scoring Ava Calciano from second base to make it 5-2.

Arkansas responded with five runs in the bottom of the 6^th inning, ending the game in a 10-2 run rule win for the Razorbacks.

News and Notes

Kaitlyn Kibling has homered in three of her last four games. She extended her hit streak to seven straight games.
UConn's defense did not commit an error for the second straight game and 10^th time this season.
