STORRS, Conn. – The UConn men's hockey team closed out the regular season at home with a 4-1 win over New Hampshire. Tristan Fraser scored two goals while Tyler Muszelik made 27 saves in net.
The first period was a back-and-forth battle as both teams started with a. strong forecheck looking to find an early goal. The Huskies offense continued to build momentum, firing a total of 14 shots on goal but were unable to find the back of the net as Kyle Chauvette turned away all 14. The Huskies defense shined in the period, only allowing four shots on goal, all which were saved by Muszelik, keeping the score 0-0 heading into the second period.
The Huskies came out firing once again in the second period looking to open the scoring.
