» The Huskies are back in action for their final game of the 2025-26 regular season. The
Huskies will hit the road as they travel to face off against Providence Saturday March 7.
» The Huskies are coming off a 4-1 win over the University of New Hampshire. Tristan
Fraser scored two goals while Tyler Muszelik made 27 saves in net.
» This will be the third matchup this season between the Huskies and Friars. The teams
faced off earlier in the season in November which resulted in a Providence 4-1 win in
Storrs followed by a 3-3 tie and UConn shootout win for the extra point.
» Race for seeding: All eyes will be on the final weekend of the regular season as multiple
can rise or fall in the standings. UConn, Boston College and UMass all have the ability
to finish 2-4 in the Hockey East Standings.
» Bubble watch: The Huskies currently sit at 13 in the NPI with just the game against
Providence remaining before the Hockey East Tournament.
» Hockey Humanitarian Finalist: Senior Ryan Tattle has been named a finalist for the
Hockey Humanitarian Award. Tattle is one of five finalist named by the Hockey Hu-
manitarian Committee. This past winter break, Tattle hosted his 5th annual Score for
Cancer game. Following the completion of the game Sat. Dec. 20, Tattle has raised over
$180,000 for Cancer Research.
» Mike Richter Watchlist and Hobey Baker Candidate: Senior Goaltender Tyler Muszelik
has been named to the Mike Richter Award Watchlist and a Hobey Baker Nominee.
Muszelik is posting a 17-8-5 record with a .929 save % and 2.17 GAA.
» OLYMPIC GOLD: UConn men's hockey alum Tage Thompson won a gold medal with
Team USA in the winter olympics this past week. Thompson is the first alum to repre-
sent the Huskies in the Olympics for men's hockey.
» Huskies in the NHL: Marc Gatcomb has become the 9th Husky to reach the pros, hav-
ing most recently been called up by the New York Islanders. Gatcomb joins, Chase
Bradley, Ruslan Iskhakov, Yan Kuznetsov, Todd Krygier, Cole Schneider, Max Letunov,
Adam Huska, and Tage Thompson as former Huskies to make it to the league.
