HAMDEN, Conn. – The UConn women's hockey team fell to No. 10 Minnesota Duluth, 5-1, Saturday afternoon in the Nutmeg Classic consolation game. The Huskies fall to 8-7-1 on the year while the Bulldogs improve to 8-6-2.
The Huskies struck for the game's first goal at the 15:18 mark on Savannah Bouzide's fourth of the year. Emily Reid kicked the puck out to Kaitlyn Yearwood for a shot on net and Bouzide found the rebound and poked it in. UConn would take the lead into the intermission.
Minnesota Duluth would go on to score three goals in the second period and two more in the third to grab the 5-1 win.
