Ben Freeman Tabbed Hockey East Player of the Week

STORRS, Conn. - UConn junior Benjamin Freeman (Falmouth, Maine) was named the Hockey East Player of the Week on Monday after helping lead the Huskies to one of the biggest wins in program history last Friday night, a 4-3 upset of No. 2 nationally ranked UMass. It is the first weekly honor of Freeman's career.
The junior forward scored twice, including the game-winning goal in the third period, to lead the Huskies to a win over the highest ranked opponent in program history last Friday night in UConn's season finale. He gave his squad a 1-0 lead in the first and delivered the decisive strike early in the third period.
Freeman ended the season with 16 points on seven goals and nine assists.
