Huskies Set for Midweek Matchup against UAlbany

STORRS, Conn. – After being idle for just over a week, UConn women's lacrosse returns to the field as the Huskies prepare to host the UAlbany Great Danes on Wednesday, March 13 at the Sherman Family Sport Complex. Opening draw is set for 3 p.m.

Opponent and Series History…
- UConn and UAlbany have met on the field only twice, with UConn winning both contests. The Huskies won last season's matchup, posting a 15-11 road win over the Great Danes.
- The Great Danes (3-2) enter Wednesday's game on the heels of a 11-9 road setback to #19 Penn State.
- Kendra Harbinger leads UAlbany with 16 goals, while Sam Tortora paces the Great Danes in assists (12) and points (22).

The Huskies dropped a 19-13 decision to the UMass Minutewomen Saturday afternoon at Richard F. Garber Field. Caitlin Leary paced the Huskies with four goals, while Sydney Watson and Brooke Jensen each recorded hat tricks. Anna Costello, Sam McKenna and Lexi Kenneally also found the back of the net for UConn, each scoring one goal apiece.

Katie Woods enters her 9th season at the helm of the UConn Lacrosse program in 2019. The most successful coach in UConn women's lacrosse history, Woods has accumulated a 107-96 record, six winning seasons and two conference Coach of the Year Awards during her time in Storrs.
