WHOC Blitzed At BU

BOSTON, Mass. – The UConn women's hockey team was blitzed by the Boston University Friday night, falling to the Terriers 6-2 in the first game of the weekend Hockey East series.
Viki Harkness and Taylor Wabick notched the UConn goals while Morgan Fisher netted 20 saves between the pipes.
BU got off to a fast start with three goals in the first period. Julia Nearis gave the home team the early lead after tipping in Desirae DeSousa's shot from out front. Tallies from Jesse Compher (9:06) and Courtney Correia (14:02) increased the lead to 3-0.
The Huskies finally broke through in the 17th minute of the frame off the stick of Taylor Wabick. Snodgrass got the puck from Briana Colangelo then fired a snapshot on net – Wabick was able to get her stick on it and poke it home to pull UConn within three at 16:03.
BU increased their advantage to four with a pair in the second. Compher went bardown for her second of the night, then Sammy Davis followed with a score at 8:39.
Harkness pulled the Huskies within 5-2 at the 13:10 mark of the third frame. The sophomore rebounded classmate Danielle Fox's shot and sent it into the back of the cage to notch her sixth goal of the year.
The Terriers found the back of the net at 16:55 to achieve the final margin.
