BOSTON, Mass. – UConn women's hockey fell to Boston University, 3-1, in the regular season series finale Saturday afternoon at Walter Brown Arena.
Graduate transfer Jessie Aney scored the lone UConn goal – her second of the season, while Morgan Fisher racked up 25 saves in net.
BU jumped out to a 2-0 lead early in the first. Nara Ellis tallied the game's first goal 34 second in, followed by Abby Cook's score at 1:24. The home team added another goal at 18:51 and headed into the first intermission with a three-goal lead.
Aney got the Huskies on the board at the 15:06 mark of the second period. After skating along the boards, Aney went with a wrap-around shot that was initially blocked, but the puck deflected right back to her and Aney was able to poke it home to cut the Husky deficit to two.
UConn outshot BU 9-5 in the third period, but the Huskies were unable to cut into the deficit further.
