WHOC Set to Face Boston College in Hockey East Quarterfinals

STORRS, Conn. – The postseason is here, and the UConn women's hockey team is amped up for some playoff hockey! The fifth-seeded Huskies head up the road to Chestnut Hill, Mass., where they will battle it out against fourth-seeded Boston College in a best-of-three Hockey East quarterfinal series.
The Huskies and Eagles will square off Friday at 6 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. and, if necessary, on Sunday at 2 p.m. Friday's game will be broadcast live on NESNplus and CBS All-Access while Saturday and Sunday's if-necessary contests will be streamed on CBS All-Access. All tickets to the quarterfinal series will be $5 and can be purchased at the Conte Forum Ticket Office at Gate B.

What to Know:
- UConn surpassed last season's overall and conference win totals, concluding the season 16-16-2 overall, 13-12-2 in Hockey East play.
- Boston College leads the all-time series between the schools, 37-17-10.
- The Huskies won the 2019-20 season series against the Eagles, 2-1. UConn skated to a 5-2 victory back on Nov. 9, handing BC its first loss of the season in the process. The squads split the home-and-home Nov. 22-23, with the road team posting 2-1 victories in both contests.
- Natalie Snodgrass (14g, 17a) paces the UConn offense with 31 points, Catherine Crawley's (13g, 16a) 29 points is second on the team, with Briana Colangelo (7g, 17a) in third with 24. Taylor Wabick (18) Morgan Wabick (17), Danielle Fox (16), Savannah Bouzide (12) Viki Harkness (11) and Tristyn Svetek (10) are the other seven Huskies with double figure points.
- Morgan Fisher holds a 9-13-2 record in goal with eight wins in conference play and Samantha Carpentier-Yelle holds a 7-3-0 record in 11 starts, with five wins in conference play. Fisher has a .910 save percentage and 2.30 GAA, while Carpentier-Yelle has a 1.70 GAA and .929 save percentage.
Leading the Pack:
Chris MacKenzie enters his eighth season leading the UConn women's hockey team. MacKenzie has won over 100 games during his time at UConn and has been an instrumental part in turning the program around. In 2015-16, Mackenzie coached UConn to their first winning season since 2010.
