CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The UConn women's hockey team bounced back in a big way Saturday afternoon, shutting out Boston College 2-0 in Game Two of the Hockey East Quarterfinal round to force a decisive winner-take-all Game Three Sunday afternoon. Puck drop is slated for 2 pm.
UConn dominated offensively and outshot the Eagles 36-21. Catherine Crawley and Viki Harkness were responsible for the Husky goals while netminder Morgan Fisher racked up 21 saves between the pipes on the way to her fourth shutout of the season.
The Huskies came out firing early and often, peppering Maddy MacArthur with 10 shots through the opening frame. Crawley got the Huskies on the board less than six minutes into the game. Claire Peterson took the puck at the top of the point and dished it off to Taylor Wabick. Wabick lined up a quick shot on goal and Crawley scored off the redirect, slipping the puck under the skate of MacArthur to give the visitors a 1-0 lead at 5:29.

UConn kept the pressure on in the second and ended the period with a 14-5 shot advantage. Harkness doubled the Husky lead after crashing the boards and slotting one into the lower right corner. Camryn Wong fired a shot from the point right into the chest of MacArthur, but the BC netminder couldn't make the save and Harkness scooped up the loose puck and went with a backhander to give UConn a 2-0 lead at the 7:33 mark.
