Huskies Continue AAC Play at Tulsa

STORRS, Conn. – The UConn men's basketball team will meet the Tulsa Golden Hurricane for the second time in 11 days, this time at the Reynolds Center in Tulsa. The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. (EDT) tipoff and will be televised on ESPN2.

What to Know
- Tulsa leads the all-time series 7-4.
- UConn (11-10 overall, 2-6 American) is coming off a 70-63 road loss at Memphis on Saturday, Feb. 1, at FedExForum, the Huskies' seventh loss by seven points or less.
- UConn is led in scoring (14.3) and rebounding (6.6) by senior guard Christian Vital, with freshman guard James Bouknight also averaging double-figures (10.3). Redshirt junior Alterique Gilbert leads the team in assists (4.5) and redshirt freshman Akok Akok leads in blocked shots (3.0).
- Tulsa (15-6, 7-1) is coming off a 54-51 home win over Wichita State on Saturday, Tulsa's sixth straight win. The Golden Hurricane is led in scoring by junior Brandon Rachal (14.1), with Jeriah Horne (11.8) and Martins Igbanu (10.9) also in double figures. Rachal is also the team's top rebounder (6.4), while junior Elijah Joiner hands out the most assists (3.5).
Leading the Pack
Dan Hurley begins his second season as head coach of the UConn men's basketball team. Hurley became the 19th head coach in the history of UConn men's basketball on March 22, 2018. Prior to his hiring, he spent two seasons at Wagner College and six at the University of Rhode Island and owns a collegiate coaching record of 167- 122 (.578). Hurley made two consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances (2016-17, 2017-18) and was named the 2017-18 Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year.
