WHOC Squares Off With UNH

STORRS, Conn. - The UConn women's hockey team (3-5-1) look to rebound off a tough home series against Vermont last weekend with a home-and-home series against the Wildcats of the University of New Hampshire. Puck drop is scheduled to for 6 p.m. on Friday, January 14 at the Whittemore Center, while Saturday's game will be played in Storrs at the Freitas Ice Forum at 6 p.m.
The Huskies lost both games at the Catamounts last weekend including a heartbreaking 3-2 defeat in overtime aftet the Huskies held a two-goal lead late in the second period.
UConn is 17-43-5 all-time against New Hampshire but went 2-1-1 against the Wildcats a season ago including a dominant 4-0 win the Hockey East Championship semifinals to advance to the championship game for the second time in three seasons.
The Huskies currently sit in a tie for fifth place in the league with 12 points, while UNH is only one point back of the Huskies entering this weekend's series.
