No. 17 FH Extends Win Streak to Three

Conshohocken, Pa. - The No. 17 UConn field hockey team extended its win streak to a season-high three games with a 6-2 win at Villanova on Friday afternoon.
Sophia Ugo continued her hot play with a pair of goals in the contest. The Buenos Aires native has now scored five goals in the past two contests.
The Huskies carried a 3-0 lead into halftime with a tally from Ugo along with goals from Claire Jandewerth and McKenna Sergi.Â
Villanova closed the gap in the third quarter with a pair of goals to make it a 3-2 UConn lead entering the final quarter.
The Huskies distanced themselves with three fourth quarter goals from Ugo, Abby Gooderham and Madi Herb to move to 8-7 overall and 4-1 in BIG EAST play.
UConn will face off against No. 8 Maryland at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 17.
