No. 18 FH Celebrates Senior Weekend With Two Home Matches

STORRS, Conn. - The No. 18 UConn field hockey team (8-8, 4-1 BIG EAST) is set to celebrate its Senior Class this weekend with a BIG EAST matchup on Friday, October 22 at 1 p.m. against Georgetown and then a Senior Day match against UMass at 12 p.m. on Sunday, October 24.
The Huskies will celebrate their seven seniors prior to the game on Sunday with Jessica Dembrowski, Kourtney Kennedy, Lindsay Dickinson, Abby Gooderham, Frances Mirabile, Olivia Clarke and Cheyenne Sprecher all being honored.
On the field, UConn can clinch a spot in the four-team BIG EAST Championship with a victory against Georgetown on Friday.
The UConn offense has scored 16 goals in its last three games with freshman Sophia Ugo leading the way with eight goals on the season followed by McKenna Sergi with seven goals.
Cheyenne Sprecher leads the BIG EAST with 91 saves on the year.
