BSB Rally Falls Short, 9-8 at St. Joseph's

PHILADELPHIA - The theme of the UConn baseball season has been rallying late but ultimately falling just short as the Huskies lost their seventh one-run game this season on Saturday at St. Joseph's.
UConn trailed 8-1 heading into the eighth inning but rallied back with an eighth inning grand slam from first baseman Reggie Crawford.
In the ninth inning, A two-run single from Erik Stock made it a 9-8 ballgame and Stock moved to second on a throw to the cut off man.
With runners at second and third and two outs, Kevin Ferrer grounded out to end the threat and drop the Huskies to 5-11 on the year.
Kyler Fedko continued to swing a hot bat with four more hits (4-4, BB) on Saturday. The UConn outfielder has produced six hits in eight at-bats this weekend.
The Huskies and Hawks will play a rubber game on Sunday at noon. The game can be viewed on ESPN+ or listened to on MIXLR.
