Top-Seeded HookC Begins BIG EAST Championship on Thursday

MASON, Ohio - The top-seeded UConn baseball team (43-13) will face Georgetown on Thursday, May 26 at 10:30 a.m. ET on FloSports to open the 2022 BIG EAST Championship.
The tournament is a four-team double elimination format with the winner earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
The Huskies are coming off a tough weekend at Georgetown with the Huskies being swept in the three-game series. It was the first series loss of the season for UConn.
UConn tied its program record with 43 regular season wins on the season and are second in the nation with 23 wins away from home.Â

The Huskies won the 2021 BIG EAST Tournament Championship by going 3-1 in the tournament.Â
