No.14/15 Huskies Set for Home and Home against Boston College

STORRS, Conn. - Â The UConn women's ice hockey team is set to return to action as they will begin their Hockey East slate with a home and home against rival Boston College. The Huskies will head to Chestnut Hill, Friday, October 13 before welcoming the Eagles to the Toscano Family Ice Forum for the home opener on Saturday, October 14.
UConn will return to Kelly Rink for the first time since their heartbreaking overtime loss to the Eagles in the Hockey East playoffs last season. The Huskies return to action following a weekend off and will look to kick off conference play strong. Boston College enters the matchup verse the Huskies at 0-4 searching for their first win of the 23-24 season. The Eagles have faced tough opponents to start the season in Clarkson and reigning national champions and no.1 ranked Wisconsin.
Abby Newhook returns for Boston College and is primed for another strong season leading the Eagles. This past weekend, Newhook scored her 38th career goal while also pitching in an assist against no.1 ranked Wisconsin.
Following the game on the road, the Huskies will return to Storrs for the home opener at the Toscano Family Ice Forum. The 23-24 season will be the Huskies first full season in their new home.
