Huskies fall to UNH

STORRS, Conn. – The UConn Huskies lost 2-0 to the New Hampshire Wildcats on Friday night at the Toscano Family Ice Forum. With the loss, the Huskies move to 1-3-1 in the early season.
UConn came out firing, outshooting UNH 11-4 in the first period.
UNH scored both of their goals in the second period. The first goal came two minutes into the period as Charli Kettyle scored her second goal of the season putting the Wildcats in front. UNH extended their lead to 2-0 with seven minutes left in the period. Kira Juodikis scored her fifth goal of the season for the Wildcats.
The Huskies turned up the offensive pressure in the third period outshooting the Wildcats 10-7, but just couldn't find the back of the net.
UConn returns to action tomorrow October 21 at the Toscano Family Ice Forum. Puck drop is scheduled for 3:00pm and can be streamed live on ESPN+.
