The Huskies are coming off a home series sweep against Seton Hall and have tied their season-high with a six-game win streak.
RHP Jack Sullivan will get the ball for the Huskies, making his first start since April 15 against Xavier.Â
Reigning BIG EAST Player of the Week David Smith enters Wednesday with a season-high 14-game hit streak and has a 36-game reach base streak. The team captain is 4th in the nation with 33 stolen bases and 11th in the country with 62 runs scored. Smith is chasing Dennis Dwyer's (1993) stolen base record of 40 stolen bases.Â
As a team the Huskies have surpassed 100 stolen bases (101) for the sixth time in program history and the first since 2013.Â
The meeting between the Huskies and the Pride will be the second all-time contest and first in Storrs. The lone game was a 9-4 UConn win in 2006 in Hempstead, N.Y.Â
UConn will wrap up its home schedule with a three-game BIG EAST series vs. Butler from Friday, May 12 - Sunday May 14.
