Huskies Fall to No. 2 BU

Boston, Mass. - Boston University scores four goals in the third period as the UConn men's hockey team drops the second game of the home and home series with the no. 2 Terriers by a final of 6-0.
UConn and Boston University battled in the first period, but the Terriers would net the first goal to head into the break with the 1-0 lead. Early in the first period, Boston University found the back of the net, however the Huskies would win a coach's challenge and the referees overturned the goal for offsides. The Terriers opened the scoring late in the first as Luke Touch scored on a wrap around attempt.
Boston University was able to extend their lead in the second period as Jeremy Wilmer was able to skate from the blue line, and fired a shot past senior goaltender Ethan Haider. The Huskies had multiple chances to cut into the Terriers lead in the second period, but Mathiew Caron blanked UConn as Boston University entered the period break with a two goal lead.
Boston University extended their lead in the third period, effectively ending the Huskies hopes of a comeback. Macklin Celebrini, Quinn Hutson and Nick Zabaneh all scored in the third period to give the Terriers the 5-0 lead. With six minutes remaining in the game, the Huskies made a change at goal subbing senior Matt Pasquale in for Ethan Haider.
UConn will return to the ice next weekend as they will kick off a home and home series against Northeastern University.
