STORRS, Conn. – No. 7 UConn women's hockey (18-6-2) is set to face the New Hampshire Wildcats in a home-and-home series this weekend. The series will begin on Friday, January 30 at 6:00pm at the Whittemore Center. The series will conclude on Saturday, January 31 at the Toscano Family Ice Forum. Puck drop is set for 6:00pm. TICKETS
UConn enters the weekend looking to end a three-game slide, their longest losing streak since the 2023-24 season. Before the three-game skid, the Huskies had gone unbeaten in 11 straight games, posting a 10-0-1 record in that span. This season, UConn has been led by senior forwards Kyla Josifovic and Megan Woodworth, each with double digit goal totals. Josifovic leads the Huskies in points with 26 on 11 goals and 15 assists. Woodworth has logged 17 points on 10 goals and 7 assists.
A Look at New Hampshire
The New Hampshire Wildcats (12-11-3) are coming off a series split against Boston College a weekend ago. The Wildcats are coached by Hilary Witt in her 11th season. New Hampshire is currently in sixth place in the Hockey East standings with a 6-8-2 conference record. The Wildcats were selected to finish in sixth place in the Hockey East Preseason Coaches' Poll. This season, New Hampshire has been led by freshman forward Nina Rossi with 25 points on 11 goals and 14 assists.
