STORRS, Conn. – A two-run single from Christian Fedko lifted the UConn baseball team to a series win against Memphis, 4-2, on Sunday at J.O. Christian Field.
After the Tigers had tied the game at 2-2 in the top of the eighth inning, the Huskies threatened with a runner at second and two outs. John Toppa was intentionally walked to bring the sophomore, Fedko, to the plate. A double steal on the first pitch placed runners at second and third for the Gibsonia, Pa. native. Fedko delivered on the next pitch with a two-run single to left to give UConn the lead for good.
