BSB Loses Series vs. Cincinnati

STORRS, Conn. – The No. 22 UConn baseball team snapped its streak of four-straight series wins by dropping a rubber game on Sunday to Cincinnati, 10-4. The Huskies fall to 19-12 and 5-4 in American Conference play.
The Huskies led 3-1 entering the fifth inning behind a pair of solo home runs from Pat Winkel. The pair of homers were the first of the younger Winkel's career.
Two costly errors in the fifth inning cost the Huskies their lead as the Bearcats took a 4-3 lead. Cincinnati would not look back, scoring four in the sixth and tacking on a pair in the ninth.
Anthony Nucerino secured his fourth-straight multi-hit game by going 2-3 and closing the series by going 6-9 (.667) at the plate.
The Huskies face Bryant on Tuesday, April 9 at 3 p.m.
