STORRS, Conn. - The UConn women's hockey team (0-3-1, 0-2-0) traveled to Boston College (4-2, 4-0) and lost to the Eagles, 3-1.
The Huskies nearly took an early lead six and a half minutes into the first period when Natalie Snodgrass circled behind the net and fed a streaking Kathryn Stockdale. Stockdale had her shot saved but a loose puck resulted in a scrum in front of the net. UConn hacked away at it but were unable to put it home.
A few minutes later, the Huskies took a penalty and Boston College was able to capitalize with a power play goal.
With under nine minutes to go in the first, Morgan Wabick intercepted a pass and created a two-on-one opportunity for the Huskies. Wabick slid a pass to Snodgrass for a one-timer attempt that MacArthur was able to make a superb pad save on.
The Eagles tallied a pair of second period goals to take a 3-0 lead.
Scorching hot senior Savannah Bouzide got the Huskies on the board in the third with her fifth goal in four games. Sophomore Viki Harkness carried the puck through the neutral zone and dropped if off so Bouzide for her 21st goal of her career.

The Huskies created pressure throughout the remainder of the third period but were unable to draw closer. Trailing 3-1, UConn closed with a six-on-four and a very brief six-on-three opportunity that featured multiple chances but were unable to convert.
Next up, the Huskies are currently scheduled to take on the Providence Friars in a home-and-home series on Friday-Saturday. But as is the new normal, schedules can fluctuate throughout the week.
