Huskies Gear Up for Weekend Showdown With Merrimack and Vermont

STORRS, Conn.- The University of Connecticut women's hockey team (7-0, 3-0 HEA) returns home this weekend to take on the Merrimack College Warriors (0-8-1, 0-4-1 HEA) Friday October 29 and the University of Vermont Catamounts (4-2 , 2-0 HEA) Saturday October 30.
Last Time Out
UConn enters Friday's contest undefeated at 7-0 winning last against Merrimack College on October 22. Three different huskies scored in the 3-2 victory over the Warriors. Summer-Rae Dobson led the way for the Huskies with one goal and one assist.
Scouting the Warriors
Merrimack travels to Storrs following a 2-1 loss to Vermont (4-2, 2-0 HEA). Prior to the one game loss verse the Catamount's, the Warriors suffered a 3-2 loss to UConn (7-0, 3-0 HEA). Dominika Laskova leads the Warriors with three goals and three assists so far this season, while 14 other players have tallied at least one point.
Scouting the Catamounts
Vermont travels to Storrs following a matchup with Boston University on Friday October 29. Prior to the matchup with Boston University(4-1-2, 3-0-2 HEA), Vermont beat Merrimack College (0-8-1 0-4-1 HEA) by a score of 2-1. Natalie MIynkova leads Vermont with three goals and four assists.

Following the weekend matchup, the Huskies will remain home for a Hockey East battle verse Boston University on Friday November 5. Puck drop is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
