Huskies Fall to #9 BU

BOSTON, Mass. – The UConn Huskies fell to No. 9 Boston University Saturday night by a final of 4-2. Ryan Tverberg was the lone goal scorer for the Huskies. Boston University goaltender Vinny Duplessis would make 24 saves in the victory.
Boston university got on the board first late in the first period on a goal by Lane Hutson. The Huskies would look to even the score in the period, but Terriers goaltender Vinny Duplessis would make four saves to hold the Huskies scoreless. UConn would be outshot in the period 16-4.
Boston University would increase their leads in the third period as Dylan Peterson would score on a breakaway. Following a faceoff in the UConn zone, Ryan Tverberg would take the puck the length of the ice and net his second goal of the game on a breakaway late in the third period. Boston University would eventually score the empty net goal to seal the 5-2 victory.
