No. 15 Women's Lacrosse Visits No. 25 Yale Wednesday

STORRS, Conn. - Ready for a matchup between two of the team programs in Connecticut, the No. 15 UConn women's lacrosse team will visit No. 25 Yale on Wednesday, April 20. Opening draw from Reese Stadium is scheduled for 4 p.m.
UConn rebounded from seeing its nine-game win streak snapped at Denver as it held off Villanova, 16-15, on Saturday to improve to 7-0 at home. Seniors Lia LaPrise and Sydney Watson registered five-point efforts while fellow senior Stephanie Palmucci recorded two goals and two assists.
The Huskies are 4-1 in road games and 9-1 in non-conference matchups. With a win on Wednesday, UConn would reach back-to-back 12-win seasons for the first time in program history.
SCOUTING YALE
Yale is riding a five-game win streak and boasts a 9-2 overall record, which includes a 5-0 clip in Ivy League contests. The Bulldogs clinched a spot in the Ivy League Tournament for the first time in program history after their 15-9 victory over Cornell on Saturday.
Taylor Lane was named the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week after stuffing the stat sheet with three goals, four points, three caused turnovers and nine draw controls. Olivia Markert and Olivia Penoyer are two of the top attackers in the Ivy League, as Markert leads the Bulldogs in goals (32) and points (39), while Penoyer leads the league in assists (23).
THE SERIES
Yale has won all 10 games in the series dating back to 2001.
