Huskies Back In Action Against Villanova and UAlbany

STORRS, Conn. – The UConn women's field hockey team is back in action this weekend with matchups against Villanova and the University of Albany. The Huskies will welcome Villanova to Storrs Friday with the game set to begin at 1pm and will hit the road to travel to Albany Sunday October 6.
The Huskies will face off against the Wildcats for their third conference game of the season. The Huskies currently are 2-0 in conference play with wins over Temple and Georgetown. The Huskies have been dominating on both ends of the field. The Huskies are coming off a 2-0 weekend against Georgetown and Delaware, where their offense scored seven total goals in two games, while defensively only allowing one goal.
Entering the weekend, Villanova sits at 6-4 overall and 2-0 in conference play. The Wildcats are coming off a 1-1 weekend which featured a win over Quinnipiac and a 2-0 loss to no.7 Iowa.
To wrap up the weekend, the Huskies will hit the road and face off against the University of Albany. UAlbany is currently 8-1 overall and is coming off a 2-0 weekend which featured wins against no. 14 Liberty and UMass Lowell.
Both games are set to begin at 1pm.
