SAN DIEGO - The UConn baseball team (11-5) notched a 12-6 victory at San Diego State on Saturday night at Tony Gwynn Stadium.Â
The UConn offense posted another double-digit run scoring game with Ben Huber, Dominic Freeberger and Jake Studley all recording three-hit efforts.
Huber drove in three on the night with an RBI single in the third and two-run double in the sixth that made it a 10-1 game.
Stephen Quigley earned the victory for the Huskies with 5.0 strong innings of work. The right-hander allowed five hits, one run and struck out four.Â
Bryan Padilla recorded a two-hit night including a RBI double that helped create some breathing room in the ninth.Â
Studley finished the night reaching all five times including an RBI single and run scoring double.Â
UConn looks to win the series on Sunday with a 4 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. PT first pitch. The Huskies are 5-2 on their spring break trip.Â
